South Africa’s Prince Kaybee Unveils Mesmerizing New Track ‘Heno Babayo’

South African hit-maker and producer Prince Kaybee, born Kabelo Motsamai, has taken his next bold step by signing with international electronic label PLAYY Records. This past weekend, he unveiled his electrifying new single ‘Heno Babayo.’ Kaybee’s rise to stardom began in 2015 after he spun his way to victory in the SABC 1 Masters of Spin competition. Once destined for a professional football career with Bloemfontein Celtic, a knee injury rerouted his dreams toward music. Over the past decade, he has unleashed a wave of influential singles, from the dancefloor anthem ‘Club Controller’ to the chart-topping ‘Banomoya’ and the acclaimed ‘Uwrongo,’ which landed on TIME’s 10 Best Songs of 2020.

His collaborative credits span Lady Zamar, Busiswa, TNS, Shimza, Black Motion, and Ami Faku. Accolades include multiple South African Music Awards for Male Artist of the Year, Best Dance Album, and Album of the Year, as well as Metro FM and DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice honors. Internationally, he secured Best Collaboration at Nigeria’s Soundcity MVP Awards Festival for ‘Gugulethu‘ and recognition from AFRIMMA.

Heno Babayo‘ clocks in at just over five and a half minutes, pulsing with nimble percussion, shimmering synth textures, and lush vocal harmonies. The track surges forward with relentless energy, weaving melodic evolution into the driving rhythms that define Afro-house. Each element, from the intricate percussion to the vibrant synths, is given space to shine, creating a soundscape equally at home on packed dancefloors or in moments of solitary listening.

Prince Kaybee shared, Heno Babayo is a symbol of resilience. For me, the song reflects the journey of facing hardships, pushing through adversity, and never losing sight of hope despite life’s obstacles.”
