De La Noise and Dems Drop Joint Single ‘Without Borders’ via Afroholic and Amajoyo

De La Noise and Dems released their debut joint single, ‘Without Borders’, today via Afroholic and Amajoyo Records. A fixture in the Dutch scene, De La Noise has spent over twenty years refining a sound that spans Afro House, Afro Tech and uplifting house, marked by technical precision and a dancer’s instinct for rhythm. His resume includes sets at Ultra Europe, Pacha on Tour, Ulu Cliffhouse Bali, Warp Tokyo and Amsterdam Dance Event, alongside extensive tours in South Africa. Through Amajoyo, his label and platform, he has championed artists such as Nitefreak, Kasango and Kususa. Dems, operating as both DJ and producer, crafts Afro House and Afro Tech tracks that fuse melodic textures with club-driven rhythms. His productions have earned support from Black Coffee, Bun Xapa, Kasango and Marco Carola, with releases on Into Art, Olumo and Under The Hat. Early singles like ‘Exchange’, ‘Mandalorian’ and ‘Money Check’ established his sound, followed by ‘B.A.B.E’, ‘We Move, We Dance’ and ‘Malfunction’.

‘Without Borders’ opens with a filtered percussion sweep, settling into a brooding groove that bridges Afro House and Afro Tech. Deep, rolling percussion and a weighty bassline anchor the track, while layered synths propel its momentum. A momentary pause punctuates the arrangement before the chorus lands with impact. Industrial synth textures surface throughout, intensifying the hypnotic, peak-time rhythm in line with the sonic signatures of Black Coffee, Shimza and Nitefreak.

Prior to this official collaboration, De La Noise and Dems had already developed several projects in the studio. A TikTok teaser for ‘Without Borders’ drew significant attention from established artists and industry figures. The track’s title reflects its dual release on both Afroholic and Amajoyo Records, strategically timed a week ahead of Amajoyo’s Afroholic showcase at ADE. On 23 October at Soulkitchen Amsterdam, De La Noise will perform alongside NiteFreak, Wilson Kentura, Thami The Unknown, Elson Soares, Randoree and Marinus, marking ADE’s 30th anniversary and highlighting the intersection of African and European electronic music.

Dems and De La Noise shared: “We’ve worked on several projects and spent plenty of time in the studio together, but ‘Without Borders’ is our first official release together. We teased it on TikTok a while back, and the reactions were crazy. Big names started hitting us up asking for it, so we knew we had something special. The title says it all: music has no boundaries. So it only made sense to release it as a joint release between Afroholic and Amajoyo Records, one week before Amajoyo presents Afroholic at ADE. With this track and with the event, we’re bringing together the best of the African and European electronic scenes. ‘Without Borders’.”
