THE ILLUSTRATED MAN has unveiled his debut album, The Skin Of Time, via ILINX Records, this past weekend following the momentum of recent singles ‘Dance of Shadows‘ with Aquarius Heaven and ‘The Heart of Fire‘ featuring Robert Owens. Hailing from Yerevan and now based in Dubai, he emerges as a distinctive new voice in electronic music, earning support from Adriatique, Bedouin, Township Rebellion, Richie Hawtin, and Joris Voorn, as well as airplay on BBC Radio 1 and Ibiza Global Radio. His productions unfold as layered sonic narratives, weaving tension and emotion into a sound that remains enigmatic. Each track is crafted with precision to create both physical impact and emotional resonance. On stage, this translates into live sets charged with kinetic energy and immersive atmosphere.
Spanning eleven tracks, The Skin Of Time fuses indie dance, melodic techno, and house into a vivid listening experience. The album forges its own path, seamlessly blending high-octane rhythms with moments of deep introspection. On ‘When Everything is Said’, THE ILLUSTRATED MAN and Sasha Carassi conjure a mesmerizing melodic house piece, where Carassi’s lush pads float beneath sharp, propulsive percussion. The addition of Swedish vocalist Jonatan Bäckelie elevates the track, turning it from a detailed instrumental into a powerful, fully realized song.
