Moon Rocket is the project of Italian producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist Raffaele Scoccia, who released ‘Just Us Alone’ on 12 December 2024 via Moon Rocket Music. Scoccia’s musical foundation was laid at age 15 with the piano, evolving into a rigorous study of classical music, harmony, and composition. His Afro Melodic-Tech sound fuses intricate musicianship with the energy of the club, earning releases on respected labels including Defected, Nervous, Sony Italy, BBE, Hed Kandi, and Soulfuric. The single ‘Reciprocity’ marked a breakthrough, surpassing 21 million streams and 250,000 Shazams, and was named Traxsource’s Best Afro House Track of 2020. Moon Rocket’s work has attracted support from Black Coffee and Seth Troxler, and has been featured in Billboard, Traxsource, CLASH Magazine, and Cultr. BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra have championed his tracks, with airplay from Pete Tong’s Essential Selection, Monki, Rickie, Melvin & Charlie, and Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6 Music. On stage, Moon Rocket has delivered standout performances at MadorasindaHouse events at Output Brooklyn, Miami Music Week, ADE, and Nikki Beach.
‘Just Us Alone’ channels a vibrant Afro House groove, driven by a steady rhythmic foundation that draws listeners in. A subtle piano motif grounds the production, while soulful vocals evoke a sense of hope and connection, shaping an atmosphere that is intimate yet immersive. Mastered by Sam Wills at Wired Masters in London, whose credits span Swedish House Mafia, Honey Dijon, and James Hype, the single aligns Moon Rocket with the likes of Black Coffee, &ME, Nitefreak, and Keinemusik.
