Orsay and Maxi Meraki drop emotional Afro House single ‘Amado’

French producer and DJ Orsay, joined forces with electronic producer Maxi Meraki on his latest Afro House inspired track ‘Amado’.

Released on 10 January via Adriatique’s record label Siamese, the single is fuelled by unrelenting love, sentimentality and warmth. The track is a beautiful ode to Orsay’s late father and immerses the listener into a welcomed frenzy of emotions, such as passion, safety, excitement and euphoria.

Orsay originally emerged as a piano prodigy and has now shifted his focus to dance music. This new found love for electronic music has seen him perform across Europe in cities like Paris, London, Madrid as well as Ibiza

Before its official release, ‘Amado’ was featured in sets by the likes of RÜFÜS DU SOL, WhoMadeWho, Adriatique and Carlita to name a few. Additionally, the decision to collaborate with Melodic House giant Maxi Meraki adds a new dimension to the single, by elevating and expanding it.

‘Amado’ is a shimmery, heartfelt single crafted with precision and intention. It features a powerful, propelling beat with delicate, silken vocals while holding an inescapable groove and energy throughout. Orsay and Maxi Meraki do a brilliant job at balancing both their respective styles and influences, injecting the single with the perfect balance of dancefloor appeal and emotional resonance.

‘Amado’ translates to ‘Loved Ones’ in English. Orsay shares; “‘Amado— ‘loved ones’ in English — is dedicated to the ones who are not here anymore, yet are still so close to our hearts”.  He goes on to explain “This track is very special to me because I made it a few months after my father passed away. The original vocal on it was a voice message that he left me and that I used as inspiration to create all the melodies and feelings in the track”.
