Pulling from influences like M83, Ludovico Einaudi, and Solomun, Thaylo navigates melodic house, progressive, and deep house territories, resonating with fans of RÜFÜS DU SOL, Jan Blomqvist, Monolink, and Nora En Pure. His live shows stand out for weaving piano elements into rhythmic patterns that shift between emotional peaks and subtle dips, creating an eclectic soundscape.

Diving into ‘Not A Dream’, It opens with synth swells that rise and fall in waves, creating a sense of build-up before handing off to a consistent bass-driven rhythm that anchors the structure. Around this core, reverb-soaked vocals orbit in the mix, adding a hazy quality that draws out feelings of uplift and introspection. These elements stack to evoke a mix of heightened awareness and disorientation, with the synths providing expansive textures that mimic a shift in perception, while the rhythms keep things propulsive. The overall arrangement plays with dynamics, letting quieter vocal passages hold space before ramping back into fuller sections, mirroring the tidal effect of melodic house at its core.

Thaylo shared: “‘Not A Dream’ explores the fragile line between reality and illusion, where memories, desire and melodic house collide. Blending melodic house with a dreamlike narrative, ‘Not A Dream’ captures the feeling of a moment you’re never sure really happened.
