David Ramano, a producer from London now based in Dubai, has just released ‘ONE’ on his own Omkara label. The track highlights his unique mix of Afro and Melodic House. Ramano’s recent releases on labels like Where The Heart Is, Vamos Music Talents, and Batuque Music, with more coming soon on Xpressed Records, Enormous Tunes, and Ostwana, show he’s on a strong upward path. His music has been streamed over 750,000 times, thanks in part to the success of ‘Fall’, which has more than 350,000 plays and has been featured on major Spotify Afro House playlists. Big names like CamelPhat, Shimza, Artbat, Cosmic Gate, and Don Diablo have also supported his work, helping him reach dance floors around the world.
‘ONE’ explores unity through rhythm, anchored in deep Afro house percussion that pulses with grounded, subdued intensity. The drums create a rolling foundation that moves forward without rush, leaving space where movement feels instinctive. Above this, emotive piano chords unfold sparingly, their presence carrying the emotional weight that shifts gradually to evoke connection and introspection. The arrangement prioritizes patience, letting each percussive hit and chord progression breathe and intersect, guiding the listener from individual response to a shared rhythmic resolve. This restrained build makes it well suited to sunrise slots, extended transitions, or set closers, where the floor’s momentum eases into collective, meaningful stillness.
Ramano’s experience in London’s underground scene, 1990s pirate radio, and gigs in the UK, Spain, Sweden, and Canada influences all his music. As part of Deepologists, he learned to connect rhythm with emotion. With Omkara, he brings together African, Latin, and Eastern influences to create house music that focuses on depth rather than showiness. ‘ONE’ is a strong example of this approach.
