Florian Picasso captures an era in ‘Make Me Dance’

Compelling us to move, Florian Picasso has returned with a new song. Out under La Californie Musique, the new song, titled ‘Make Me Dance’, leans toward French House in its style and groove, with its disco rhythms, funk swing, and a vocal sample that sounds as if Daft Punk sat in on one of Florian’s production sessions. What a throwback! Phased chords lap against our headphones, surfing waves of nostalgia.

Enjoying the process, Florian Picasso tells us a bit about his new song: “Making this record was really fun as I wanted to have a catchy line that calls for a dance. ‘Make me dance on the floor’ is simple yet very effective. I call it a hybrid record since there’s a section with heavy bass that leads into a beautiful piano melody throughout the track.”
